Red Hot Document Co., Intl. (RHDC) [] was established in 1981, is probably the country's largest Letter of Credit (L/C) processing company, and has offices in multiple cities across the United States including Chicago, Houston, New York, Washington, D.C. and a document pick-up service in Detroit. RHDC services small, medium, large and many Fortune 500 companies in the U.S. and Canada.

RHDC is a complete L/C processing company, and does ALL phases including legalizations, translations to/from any language, and we even do the more complicated AID L/Cs, etc. We are able to legalize/chamberize your documents at the correct consular jurisdiction irrespective of origin or destination, which saves clients both time and money. We offer ou ...r customers a proven system combining a sophisticated tracking network with highly experienced and trained professionals who are focused on providing the shortest possible turnaround on both L/C and legalization requests. We also furnish free pick-up and delivery service in selected cities where RHDC has an office or courier arrangement. Additionally, we provide Urgent Item Hand-Carry services should material need be transported on an 'immediate' or otherwise urgent basis.


RHDC can probably process your company's export/import Letters of Credit faster and cheaper than what you're currently experiencing, save your company some significant time and money, and for whomever has that responsibility at your company, we can probably make that person's job much, much easier.



We offer you and your staff freedom from involvement, as we gather all the information from your designated freight forwarder and bank. So we do the time consuming and tedious work for you, and you never have to chase after the banks and freight forwarders. We find that our service often doubles as a morale booster to your company, for there are not very many people who enjoy preparing L/Cs, and we thus remove this burden from them and enable them to perform more productive and profitable matters!

There is no contract commitment to us, and transactions are done via fax and the internet. So if you get an L/C and would like to give us a try, just give us a call. Whether you choose to email or fax your L/C to us, we'll get our Operations Staff working for you right away! They'll review it for terms and conditions, and advise if any changes are necessary so that you know *'ll then prepare all required documents, including the transport document.

Should you decide to submit the file to us for processing, you will need to complete and sign an RHDC Cover Sheet in order for us to work on your file (which I will email to you) or you can obtain from our *ld you desire to use our services on a regular basis, your company can provide a blanket Power of Attorney form that will cover any transactions you send to us, which will then eliminate the aforementioned cover sheet and thus further streamline the L/C process.

As indicated on the rate sheet for exporting companies, our base cost to prepare and process an L/C is $175, not including any miscellaneous cost that might be required by a particular L/C, such as a telex, courier fee, or international fax, etc. We also handle the more complex AID L/Cs, which start at $600 - so please call for pricing and details for the specific AID L/C.

We provide an on-line Web Reporting System to our clients to track any and all L/Cs supplied to us. Should you choose to use our banking partner, we then also provide free post bank tracking. Our Web Reporting System enables you and any associates you so designate to know the status of any L/C. All L/Cs are organized and categorized for you, i.e., as to whether they are 1. Outstanding Transactions (Items Not Banked), 2. Outstanding Payments (Items Completed But Not Paid), 3. Paid Items (Items that Have Been Paid), or 4. Needing Action (Items Needing Action for Whatever Reason, such as LSD, ED, LSD in 2 Weeks, etc.).
