Al Ghurair Foods is one of the largest divisions of Al Ghurair Investments and has made tremendous progress over the years - growing from a small flour mill in 1976 to a technologically advanced world-scale multi-product manufacturing enterprise. National Flour Mills, the flagship company of Al Ghurair Foods is part of Abdulla Al Ghurair group of companies. National Flour Mills is committed to meeting the highest standards of product quality, food safety and environmental compliance. It was the first in the industry across the Middle East to obtain the ISO 9002:1994 certifications almost 10 years ago and the certification to Integrated Management Systems (IMS) comprising of ISO-9001-2000; ISO 14001:1996 and HACCP in the year 2004 has added an additional feather in its cap. Now it is the only company in its field in the Middle East region to have IMS certification for Quality Management System, Food safety System and the Environment Management System. NFM is now certified to IMS (ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 & HACCP). It is the first flour mill in the country that started fortification of flour with iron and folic acid in year 2000 as a free service to the community, although it is still not mandatory by law. Applying for MRM Award was driven by the same strategy of striving for excellence for our organization in all its production and managerial processes, and insuring to maintain those high standards. Regarding the wheat flour supply, today we are catering to different category of customers from wholesalers, aqua / animal feed industries, biscuit/ noodle / pasta / snack factories, and bakeries to small hotels and restaurants and many more of various sizes around the globe.
